Bolognese Pasta



When you mix your favorite pasta with a classic Bolognese sauce, you get a hearty, flavorful meal that's great for any event.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lb pasta of your choice
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions:

In a big pan, cook the ground beef over medium-low heat until it turns brown

Get rid of extra fat

Put the onion and garlic in the pan and cook them until they get soft

Put in the celery and carrots and cook until they are soft

Then add the tomato paste, oregano, basil, thyme, salt, and pepper

Mix in the red wine and beef broth

Cover the sauce and let it simmer for 30 to 40 minutes

Stir it every now and then until it gets thick

In the meantime, cook the pasta until it's al dente according to the directions on the package

Put the cooked pasta in the Bolognese sauce and top it with grated Parmesan cheese
